Port Board Elects New Officers

(GALLIANO, LA) – At its February 17, 2016 board meeting, the Greater Lafourche Port Commission board elected its executive officers, who will serve through 2018. The board elected Perry Gisclair as President, Kris Gaudet as Vice President, Harris “Chuckie” Cheramie, Jr. as Secretary, and John Melancon, Jr. as Treasurer.
Port Commissioners are elected for six-year terms by the citizens of the 10th ward of Lafourche Parish. The Greater Lafourche Port Commission’s executive officers are nominated and elected by the nine-member board of commissioners every three years.
