June 8 @ 6:30 a.m. – Cristobal Recovery, Update 10

GLPC STORM RECOVERY PHASE
Tropical Storm Cristobal

UPDATE #10
Monday, June 8, 2020
6:30 a.m.

Port Fourchon entered the Recovery Phase at first light this morning, with port personnel assessing the area roadways, utility infrastructure, and facilities while clearing debris along the route to the port.

LA 1 below the Golden Meadow Lock REMAINS CLOSED to vehicular traffic at this time, but anticipate the opening later this morning. We will send out an update at that time.

USCG Captain of the Port continues to have our Port Condition set at ZULU Marine which means no vessel movement can take place at this time. Harbor Police Marine Patrol are headed out now to access our channels and anticipate no issues. With that, we anticipate Port Condition ZULU to be lifted later this morning as well.

Thank you for staying informed with us through this weather event. As always, GLPC will continue to keep you updated with any weather-related issues affecting Port Fourchon and the South Lafourche Airport.

EMERGENCY STORM HARBOR MARINA:

With the end of this storm, the Emergency Storm Harbor Marina has been deactivated later today. All vessels in the marina must be cleared per ordinance guidelines.
