A recent touring group is shown watching the port’s newest video that will be debuting on PBS the week of March 25th. Tonight, between 8:40 and 9:40 p.m. CST, a commercial featuring Port Fourchon will be shown on Fox Business News.

(CUT OFF, LA) – The Greater Lafourche Port Commission will share the national spotlight with other prominent advertisers when a commercial highlighting Port Fourchon airs on Fox Business Network tonight, March 14, between 8:40 and 9:40 p.m. CST.

The commercial, which was produced and directed by the Education Alliance, seeks to showcase the importance of Port Fourchon from the aspects of being a driver for the local and national economy as well as the contributions it makes to the surrounding environmental landscape that encompasses Lafourche Parish and south Louisiana.

While the 60-second commercial, which will be shown again this Sunday in a primetime slot on Fox Business Network, gives a broad overview of what makes Port Fourchon what it is, the longer 6 1/2-minute story provides more details about the port.

That longer video is slated for nationwide distribution the week of March 25th as part of a menu of ON DEMAND programs hosted by actor Rob Lowe.

All told, the market and household distribution reach of the Port Fourchon commercial and ON DEMAND story has the potential to be seen by more than 51 million people in 45 percent of homes in the U.S.

“Whenever we get the opportunity to tell our story to a national audience, we will gladly do so,” GLPC Port Director Chett Chiasson said. “Our story is one of a thriving port that is very much in tune with our community and our environmental surroundings. We hope our commercial and long-form video hosted by Rob Lowe is well-received by the nation at large, many of whom may be unaware of our importance to this country, and just why we are so proud of who we are and what we stand for as a leading service port.”

Both the commercial and video are currently available for viewing by visiting portfourchon.com and our Port Fourchon YouTube page.
