Airport Industrial Park

The 1,200 acres surrounding the South Lafourche Leonard Miller, Jr. Airport in Galliano, Louisiana, are slated for industrial development of aviation-related businesses and companies supporting offshore energy activities at Port Fourchon and in the Gulf of Mexico.

The 6,500 foot airport runway and instrument landing system (ILS) can accommodate a wide range of aircraft, from single-engine planes to large business jets. The airfield capabilities, in conjunction with the availability of land for future development, allow existing industries to continue expanding their operations and capabilities and will also allow new companies to start and grow their businesses into the future.

Companies that require airfield access and approach capabilities can utilize the industrial park to establish their businesses in close proximity to the port while remaining within the hurricane flood protection levee system. The South Lafourche Airport industrial park is a 22-mile drive or a 10-minute helicopter ride from Port Fourchon.

The Greater Lafourche Port Commission is committed to helping its lessees succeed, having created an environment that fosters development of businesses and has superior infrastructure to support its commercial operators.
