Port Commission Receives $800,000 Grant for Airport Improvements

(GALLIANO, LA, JUNE 7, 2006) – On June 6, 2006, the Port Commission received an $800,000 grant from US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) to be used for infrastructure improvements to the South Lafourche Leonard Miller, Jr. Airport.
The project consists of constructing 8,400 linear feet of asphalt roadways and placing 7,000 linear feet of waterline on the airport property, and the adjacent industrial park.
