GLPC Storm Watch: Update #8 (Final TS Cindy Update)
GLPC STORM WATCH: FINAL TROPICAL STORM CINDY UPDATE
June 22, 2017
The Port Commission is ending all GLPC Storm Phases for Tropical Storm Cindy and returning to normal operations.
All roads are open to vehicular traffic, including LA 1 from Golden Meadow to Grand Isle, and any water still encroaching on roadways is dropping quickly. Crews are clearing any debris gathered along roadways as waters recede, so please use caution, drive safely, and watch for crews, equipment, and debris along your route.
The Tropical Storm Warning and Tornado Watch associated with Tropical Storm Cindy have ended. Some winds and rain may linger through this evening, especially in coastal areas, but with minimal impact.
Feel free to visit the Port Commission’s WEATHER AND STORM INFO webpage at portfourchon.com for links to current storm information, helpful storm prep information and resources, a link to GLPC’s Crisis Communication System login page, and contact updating forms.
As always, we will continue to keep you updated with any developing weather-related issues.
Thank you for staying informed with us through this weather event.
