TS Barry Weather Notice 1 – Potential Disturbance in GoM
WEATHER NOTICE – POTENTIAL DISTURBANCE IN GULF OF MEXICO

8:00 a.m.
GLPC is monitoring weather reports, as the potential for a tropical disturbance to develop in the Gulf of Mexico is a possibility over the course of this week. Port Fourchon businesses and coastal residents should be alert, but not alarmed, and monitor communications for updates and warnings.
POSSIBLE IMPACTS IN THE PORT FOURCHON AREA:
- Due to the large uncertainty of the strength and movement of the system, it is too soon to say what specific impacts it may have on the local area.
- RAINFALL: Likely, with higher chances of rain expected Friday night through Monday morning.
- TIDES: Higher than normal tides possible, depending on the eventual track, size, and strength of the system.
- WINDS: Gusty winds possible, depending on the eventual track, size, and strength of the system.
- ROADWAYS: No closures anticipated at this time.
