New Port Video Highlights Port Fourchon Tenants, Growth

(GALLIANO, LA) – The Greater Lafourche Port Commission is pleased to announce the release of its new port video, which has been updated with new footage of Port Fourchon and the latest information on our growing port.

Port Director Chett Chiasson and the Port Commission Board approved the new video production earlier this year and are happy with the final product. “In 2010, we celebrated 50 years of growth with a new port video,” said Mr. Chiasson. “In the last two years, Port Fourchon has grown and changed dramatically. We needed to update our video footage to promote our port with up-to-date information that reflects all of the hard work that our port commission, tenant companies, and personnel have put into making this the premier oil and gas service port in the nation.”

The South Lafourche Leonard Miller, Jr. Airport is also featured in the updated video. The Port Commission’s aggressive improvement projects at the airport have brought increased air traffic to its location in Galliano as well as new hangars, new navigational aids, and new businesses.

“The reason we’re so successful is that everyone here works together to make this the best place to do business,” said Board President Larry Griffin. “You can listen to the people in this video talk about how they think of the Port Commission as a partner. We’re proud of that teamwork and how it makes the port, the airport, and our community stronger.”

The new port video is now up on our website. To view it, go to www.portfourchon.com and click on “Port Video” under Quick Links.
